Kluman & Balter is proud to announce their support of the all-new competition Britain’s Best Cake, taking place at the UK Food and Drink Shows – NEC Birmingham (29th April 2024).
Hosted by British Baker, the new competition challenges professional bakers to put their skills to the test as judges search to find the best cake Britain has to offer. Following on from the success of Britain’s Best Loaf, competitors will be looking to gain an authoritative stamp of approval that shows their customers they mean business when it comes to making a great bake.
Speaking about the sponsorship Lawrence Watson, Managing Director at Kluman & Balter, said:
“Here at Kluman & Balter, we pride ourselves on being passionate when it comes to supporting bakers, which is why we are excited to support Britain’s Best Cake, in its inaugural year. The competition gives bakery operators of all sizes a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate their skills on a national stage and raise their profile. We look forward to celebrating some of the best in the business this April and continuing to help bakers achieve new successes.”
The competition is made up of six categories: Classic Cake, Free-From Cake, Fruit Cake, Individual Cake, Occasion Cake and Traybakes. Judging will commence on the morning of the event, with each bake being judged on appearance, aroma and, most importantly, taste. The winner of each category will be announced in the afternoon, with the opportunity to be crowned the ultimate champion, Britain’s Best Cake 2024.
Lawrence Watson continues:
“We are very much looking forward to presenting the award to the Category winners. We can’t wait to see the different techniques, creativity and ingredients on display. Competitions are a fantastic way to build confidence and develop your skills, so if you’re thinking about entering, please do, you have everything to gain and our team is on hand to help you with your ingredient needs in the run up.”
The deadline for Britain’s Best Cake is Monday 18th March 2024. For more information on this exciting event, and to find out how to enter, interested parties should head to Britain’s Best Cake website www.britainsbestcake.co.uk
