Kluman & Balter Cakes in the Community

At Kluman & Balter we are passionate about all things baking and, wherever we can, take the opportunity to share our passion, our skills and our bakery experiences. What better way to do that than producing a large amount of one of our best sellers the Brownie Cake Mix and sharing it, along with our support and advice, to institutions across the UK who are in need of extra resource right now. Along the way we aim to help in developing bakery skills, generate interest in new hobbies and bring through the next generation of passionate baking experts by igniting their interest with what can be achieved in the kitchen, helping vital causes and adding a sweet treat to their day.

Our teams are the conduits of our goodwill and community support spirit. It is their suggestions of places in our local communities  that we have packed and dispatched our Kluman & Balter Brownie Cake Mixes ready to be baked for fantastic causes. Lawrence Watson, MD says: “we are absolutely delighted to be able to share our passion for baking. Together with our teams we hope our cake mix donations will go a long way to helping the institutions, using our K&B mixes as education tools, aid in developing important personal and kitchen skills and producing a sweet treat for the recipients to share.”

The Kluman & Balter team carefully selected important institutions that would welcome the Brownie Cake Mixes which come with easy to follow instructions, including;

Local schools where the brownie mixes will be used for Home Economics demonstrations. Students will be taking the Kluman & Balter cake mixes and developing hands-on baking skills during practical at home baking sessions delivered by their teachers

Professional Baking Colleges across the countries are taking in the brownie mixes where they will further support the teaching of the students in their practical baking skills. The finished baked goods from these colleges are to be delivered to local food banks near the colleges (e.g. Southport Food Bank with the finished goods produced by Liverpool College)

Special Education Needs schools who are utilising the packets to develop baking and dexterity skills

Children’s homes in South and West Yorkshire, here the finished products will be baked and enjoyed by the children living in the homes

Hospices and Respite centres are taking delivery of the packets where the staff are baking the brownie mixes for the people living in the facilities

The Brownie Cake Mixes are well on their way to doing positive things for the local communities and are already landing at some of the selected places in need. Saxon Hill Academy recently took in some of the Brownie Cake Mixes and are going to be using them in lessons around developing safe skills in the kitchen environment.
